The formation of a separate Corporation exclusively for the celebration of express services from long distance by connecting all the Headquarters district of the State (Tamil Nadu) with Chennai as headquarters was intended by the Government during the year 1975. Therefore, express long distance services was operated by the ersten, Ministry of transport of Tamilnadu transferred as wing of Pallavan transport Express Corporation 15 Sep ' 1975. The express wing of Pallavan Corporation transport was registered on January 14, 1980 and named as transport Corporation.
